Kochi: A tragic incident led to the death of a one-year-old in Kerala. The infant died after a television set fell upon him in Muvattupuzha, near the port city of Kochi, on Tuesday.
The child, Abdul Samad, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital on Monday night for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Tuesday.
The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Monday, according to the police.
The child supposedly touched the stand on which the TV was kept, the police said.
Both the stand and the television suddenly fell on the boy and caused fatal injuries, they added.
The child's father Anas was a native of Payipra, the police said.
